Working on a big update, and I liked how this pose came out.

This one's gonna be for both Garble AND Discord 6_9

The pose is awesome, really, I think that the fans of the show are better at drawing Discord than the actual cast of the show! (probably because you guys understand and can relate to him)

*Warning, mini lecture coming on.* :D

Not trying to impede on anything here. I'm just here to give a rebuttal to your comment. :)

The reason being of very simple character design on the actual show is due to strict limitations that the animators go through. One is simply the attitude portrayed. The animators cannot just give a facial value because they like it. It has to work with what the scriptors and story-board artists directed it to be.
A HUGE factor in their limits come from the fact that they animate with Flash. Proper shading would look very bad unless they took a long time fixing the shading to follow the characters every frame. Plus, excess details would also look funny being animated in Flash.

A solution to that would be to hand draw every frame (like anime), but keep in mind that Studio B (animators of MLP:FiM) only have like 3 or 4 animators on the crew. If they were to hand draw it, they would need at least 20 animators to make the weekly deadline.

So yes, you ARE correct in a logical sense. Fans do make better artworks, but that's due to an animation vs. drawing viewpoint / deadline pressure.

Sorry for the rant. Please don't be mad at me. :O

Somehow, I knew it had something to do with those 2 reason you gave me. There are a lot more things going on in animation than what we're shown, that's why their working place is for professionals that are able to work as specified. :)
And don't worry, you're right about what you said in that little rant. I should've thought about my comment for more than half-a-second before I wrote it. :D

Thanks for reminding me of all of these things, if anything. :)
